At Area 419 we decided that there were no scope bases on the market that really met our requirements for quality, so we made our own. Its all in the little details that set this base apart from the competition. These are machined in house on our 4-axis HAAS VMC from 7075 Aluminum. Straight off the mill there is not a single sharp edge left, all corners are radiused and any necessary harsh corners are chamfered. Just like all of the other Picatinny products we make, we radius between the slots, and also radius the corners of the lugs to prevent any snag areas and give it a cleaner look.

- Integral machined in recoil lug bears against the front receiver ring to prevent any base shifting under recoil
- Available in two versions, “Full Slotted” and “ARC Top”Compatible with #6 and #8 screws, no modification necessary
- Full Slotted is compatible with all picatinny scope mounts including Spuhr and MPA which have a recoil lug in the center of the mount
- ARC Top is an Area 419 original design, mainly for aesthetics just to set it apart (will not work with mounts like Spuhr or MPA)
- All mating areas are 1:1 surface machined to exact profile of the Remington action for a solid fit
- The MOA angle, or lack of angle, of the base is guaranteed to be true to the spec due to advanced fixturing
- Machined to MIL-STD-1913
- Ejection port cut blends seamlessly into action and gives plenty of room for top loading ADL style rifles
- Type III Hardcoat Black anodized
- (4) 6-48 and (4) 8-40 Torx T10 screws and wrench included
- All screws are the same length and sized to not interfere with barrel threads, no more guessing which screw goes where
Area 419 CZ 455 Scope Base
DESCRIPTION
The engineers at Area 419 set out to solve the problem of CZ455 scope bases that slide around over time. The simple dovetail/set screw bases work for some people but they weren’t happy.
This design, made from a single piece of T7075 aluminum and machined in house on their Haas VF4SS 4 axis machining center is designed to slide onto the dovetail and be clamped down with a force that is consistent across the entire rail – and strong enough that your CZ455 will never budge it. Bases will come Type III black hardcoat anodized and will come with the necessary 2.5mm wrench for torqueing the clamp screws. Recommended torque spec: 22 in/lb (2.5 NM)
The rail comes in a 30MOA cant as it is meant for guys pushing their 22LRs out to 300+ yards. We also added real estate to the front of the rail to allow you to move your optic forward. This helps on higher powered scopes when coupled with the smaller stocks that are normal on a rimfire. This base is a little taller than the popular set-screw models but by using lower height rings/mounts you should be able to retain a similar over bore height and maintain a good cheek weld without any riser.
Since they are good guys, and the machine would already be working in the area, they decided to build in a level to the base. The material is flared out in the area to provide optimum viewing when in the prone position without much movement if any.
